What the Exam Actually Asks You to Decide

The concept. Google’s Generative AI Leader exam tests judgement more than product knowledge. Nearly every wrong answer is something a competent leader would really do: a technique picked before the problem was named, or a true statement about a product that answers a question nobody asked. So the book argues each choice until the line between two sensible options is visible.

How it was built. From Google’s own material, ranked in advance: the published exam guide and study guide decide what is testable, the product documentation explains how things behave, and Google’s other writing is used only where both are silent. Every product claim carries the URL of the page it came from. Google renamed most of these products in April 2026, so the book gives both names.

How to read it. The chapters run in the order a leader meets the decisions, not in blueprint order, and a coverage map proves every exam objective is still covered. Each chapter ends on a short list written to make sense with the book shut. Read those first, then go back to any line you could not justify.

No practice questions and no product manual. It is for someone preparing for the exam who wants the reasoning, not a list to memorise.
